Varna Airport provides assistance to passengers with reduced mobility, intending to make use of air transportation services, irrespective of whether departing, arriving or being transit passengers.
Special assistance to physically impaired persons of limited mobility is provided in compliance with the quality standards, as defined by Regulations (ЕU) 1107/2006 of the European Parliament.
Varna Airport has been provided with relevant parking lots, telephones with sign posts, sanitary premises, and ambulift vehicles to facilitate servicing of physically impaired persons. A summer season shuttle bus between the two terminals is equipped with special board for passengers of limited mobility. All personnel of Varna Airport, servicing passengers, undergoes special training aiming at increasing their awareness of the special-care needs people with disabilities and their equality.
Physically impaired and limited mobility passengers receive assistance on part of any “Passenger Services” Department Supervisor on duty at Varna Airport.
